About Nikki Bella
Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace (known as Nicole Garcia during her time in WWE) was born in Oxnard, California. Her father is American and her mother is Mexican, Cuban, and Greek. She was a cheerleader, and played softball at Santa Barbara City College. She started training in mixed martial arts in 2004. In December 2006, she won her first bout and in February 2007 she began training for her professional wrestling debut with World Xtreme Wrestling, where she won the WXW Women's Championship. On January 25, 2007, Garcia competed in a tournament for the vacant Women's Championship of FCW and was defeated by then-champion Candice Michelle in the first round.
Early Life
Born in San Luis Obispo, California, Nicole Marie Garcia was the daughter of Sherri and Earl Garcia. She was raised in the nearby city of Arroyo Grande. She has two younger sisters, Brie and Brianna, both of whom also became professional wrestlers. She was a cheerleader in high school and a biology major at Cal Poly. Professional wrestling career Florida Championship Wrestling (2007–2008) Bella made her debut with WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) on July 30, 2007, teaming up with Jackie Gayda in a losing effort to Alicia Fox and Katarina, with her twin sister Brie at ringside. She won the FCW Divas Championship on December 10, 2007, defeating Mercedes Martinez in a tournament final.

Early years Bella with her sisters in 2012 Bella was born and raised in a Puerto Rican Roman Catholic family in Annapolis, Maryland. Bella's parents are veterinarian Linda Peralta and university administrator Gordon Garcia, both from the town of Caguas, Puerto Rico. She has a younger sister, Brie Bella, who is also a professional wrestler. In March 2003, she graduated from Severna Park High School. She began training with Mark Henry at the Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW) wrestling school in Annapolis. Henry told Bella, "You're way too good for this place." In July 2003, she began competing in amateur wrestling, in MCW, a WWE developmental territory. She defeated Sara Del Rey for her first victory.
Personal Life
In 2007, Nicole and her twin sister Brie Bella graduated from NYU with degrees in economics and Russian studies. They went on to intern for media companies MTV and The Huffington Post. In 2007, Nicole married professional wrestler John Morrison, and took his last name. The couple divorced in 2009. On September 21, 2012, Bella married WWE wrestler Daniel Bryan, whom she met on a Diva Search try-out. The couple announced their retirement from WWE in April 2017.
